Problem
Computer connection via WiFi was slow and at times dropping. Bad WiFi was suspected.
Solution
An analysis of the network and computer revealed that the computer was sharing the same LAN IP number as another computer on the same network. The computer was reconfigured to acquire a LAN IP number via DHCP (rather than the static IP it was set to). Once the computer was reconfigured and rebooted, WiFi connection became stable and speed went back to normal.
