Problem
Customer on Queen Anne has smart DVD player with Internet apps such as Netflix and Youtube. Unfortunately, DVD player does not have WiFi built in, instead requiring an ethernet cable connection.
Customer’s only access to Internet is WiFi in apartment building, hence no way to connect DVD player to Internet.
Solution
Building has 5 Ghz WiFi, so a WiFi bridge was set up in the apartment. Then, ethernet cable connected the WiFi bridge to the DVD player. Use of WiFi repeater with ethernet port was specifically avoided to reduce WiFi congestion.
Customer can now watch Youtube videos on her TV via the Youtube app in her smart DVD player.
