Problem
Windows 10 computer in Northgate area would not connect via WiFi to any WiFi access point, giving this recurring error:
Wi-Fi doesn’t have a valid IP configuration.
Additionally, cable connection would not provide a connection.
Solution
In-depth testing with various WiFi adapters and other routers pointed to a problem deep within the Windows 10 operating system. Through a series work arounds to gain Internet access on cable, updates and other changes where made. At the end of the process cable and WiFi connections were working as they should be.
