Configure Wifi Network for Mother-in-Law Apartment
Problem:
Customer was renting out mother-in-law apartment with wifi and needed help to:
- configure equipment to establish separate house and apartment wifi networks
- learn option for extending Internet and wifi to far side of house
Resolution:
- site survey for best wifi band and channel
- select appropriate equipment from customer’s existing equipment collection
- configure existing equipment for separate networks
- provide suggestions for extending wifi and internet to far side of house
Wifi Enhancement in Two-Bedroom Apartment
Customer in top-floor apartment in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood suffered from sluggish Internet via wifi on three different devices.
Resolution:
- did site survey to determine best band and channel for wifi
- installed test equipment to demonstrate enhancement option
- installed real equipment based on test demonstration to provide higher quality wifi to all three devices
Wifi Enhancement in Penthouse
Customer had two problems in Wallingford penthouse apartment in Seattle:
- could not configure new high-end router
- wifi needed to provide service to more than on Amaon Echo in different rooms
Resolution:
- configured router for seamless transition from old to new
- implemented test gear to demonstrate better placement of router
- suggested special ethernet cable for relocating router into better position
Move WordPress Website to New Host and New Domain
The business wanted to move it’s WordPress website to a new hosting company AND at the same time change the domain name.
The smooth transition resulted from:
— thoughtful planning
— new hosting company configuration
— downloading the necessary files and databases from the old hosting company
— making necessary changes to the databases and files
— uploading databases and file to the hosting company
— making necessary changes in the registrar
All content was moved intact along with user accounts.
Wifi Improvements
Drummer for a famous rock band needed help sorting out wifi issues at his house. By applying radio principles (wifi is radio!), we are able to reduce the number of devices, reduce the air wave congestion, and relocate a device. Within a couple hours the wifi was enhancement for immediate improvement. Follow-up provided additional suggestions and tips for additional improvements.
