Century Link Wireless Set Top Box

Problem:

Solution:

Upon investigation, found a local source of interference and resolved the problem to eliminate (or substantially reduce) the interference so the set top box would as expected.

Regain Access to Windows 7

Problem:

North Seattle customer had misplaced and forgot the password for the administrator account in Windows 7, making some functions and updates unavailable.

Solution:

Did a site visit and ran special non-Windows program and regained access to the administrator account, which then allowed control of the other accounts and functions.

Data Recovery from Windows Disk

Problem:

In Sammamish, customer’s data (documents, spreadsheets, etc) was not accessible because data was on the Windows disk (C Drive) and the operating system would not boot from that drive.

Solution:

Because a new computer had been purchased, the bad drive was installed in special equipment at customer’s location to get data off and copied to new drive.

Low Power FM Old Time Radio Station

Problem:

Customer wanted to listen to old time radio Internet stream on any FM radio throughout house.

Solution:

Set up low-cost, dedicated computer to get the stream. Then took audio from the stream and put into low-powered FM transmitter. Happy customer who can use any FM radio to hear the old time radio.

Windows 7 Blue Screen of Death

Problem:

Customer’s Windows 7 laptop computer did Windows update and upon reboot went into the Blue Screen of Death.

Solution:

PSCH removed the hard drive to a) copy all data and then b) clone the drive. The cloned drive was then put into the machine and through various problem solving procedures the drive was restored to full operation.
